ACCOMMODATION
Broad
Leys has six spacious well appointed rooms,
all furnished in the “Arts and Crafts”
style with original fireplaces, two of which
have large bow windows giving panoramic views
of the lake and fells, with one offering views
over the side garden and lake.
The
house is set in seven acres of landscaped
gardens leading down to lake Windermere.
The combinations of the bedrooms, the main
hall, dining room and lounge bar; each reflecting
the master architects genius, makes staying
at Broad Leys a truly memorable experience.
The main hall is also rich in club history
and contains many portraits and photographs
of past events. The bar along with the lounge
and dining room, all with fireplaces, provide
comfortable seating with sensational lake
views.
The
grounds and the house are a haven of tranquillity,
away from the hustle and bustle of the business
world where you can completely relax and
unwind in this calm and peaceful atmosphere.
Broad
Leys is the only Voysey house that offers
accommodation to the public. However due
to existing commitments of the Windermere
Motor Boat Racing Club, accommodation is
only available weekdays and a limited number
of weekends.
Three
rooms are ensuite.
Three are standard rooms sharing three Victorian
bathrooms.
