Broad Leys is the largest house Voysey designed  lending itself perfectly to a variety of uses. As you pass through the entrance hall you are greeted by this spacious lounge, an ideal room to relax with a coffee and chat or simply admire the breath taking views or to  marvel at Voysey's minimalist ideas from the turn of the century.

This room is rich in club history and contains many portraits and photographs of events past, including articles on Sir Donald Campbell who set the water speed record of 260.35 Miles per hour on Coniston as a member of this club..

The lounge and bar both provide comfortable seating with lake views that will capture anyone's imagination. Again Voysey's original work can be seen readily such as the green tiled fireplace and the third bow window which is a distinctive feature of Broad Leys.
The classic staircase featured here is a fine example of Voysey's straight lines and simple approach, staircases similar to this feature in all of Voyseys houses across the world.

The sheer number of windows surrounding this staircase ensures plenty of daylight flows through the interior of Broad Leys and illuminates the beautiful wood panels lining the stairwell. Books of club history are available for you to peruse on the windowsill with many pictures of club commodores from the past.

The four spacious bedrooms have been returned to their original finery as Voysey intended. Rooms can be made up as doubles or twins, we have one family room. All but one of the bedrooms are en-suite with a private bathroom available to that bedroom.

Tea and coffee making facilities are provided in each room.

Larger groups can be catered for through links that we have with nearby quality hotels.

Our restaurant stretches back from one of the distinctive bow windows a stunning gateway to some of the most incredible sun sets over the lake you may ever see.

The resident Manager and his wife are extremely talented, well traveled chefs who can create dishes from all over the world, prior arrangement is required for unusual dishes, however the restaurant caters for most tastes as a matter of course.

We also offer conferencing facilities for business meetings and presentations. This room combines traditional distinctive design including Voyseys infamous tiled fireplace with modern business facilities. If you have any specific requirements, please do not hesitate to contact us.
