Broad Leys is a landmark country house on the shores of Windermere in the Lake District National Park

It was designed by Charles Vosyey in 1899 as a lakeside retreat for the Currer-Briggs family from Yorkshire

Since 1950 Broad Leys has been the home of Windermere Motor Boat Racing Club - the oldest in the world still racing

The house and gardens are preserved to retain the Arts & Crafts style pioneered by Voysey

The Club is owned and run by its members and is open to non-members for accommodation and private events
