Major motorways and rail links take you almost directly from the airports to the edge of Kendal (Oxenholme station) which is only 25 minutes away via local transport from our countryside location. There is also a local train from Kendal to Windermere from where you can get a taxi to Broad Leys.
Within The UK
Travel to Junction 36 of the M6 Motorway. Take the A591 to Windermere, stay on this for approximately fifteen miles until you reach the town of Windermere.
Turn left onto the A592 and travel through Windermere and down into Bowness. Continue along the road for approximately two miles passing Storrs Hall Hotel on the right. Just after this hotel the road climbs and at the top of this hill it sweeps gently to the right. On this bend is a junction with the B5360 on the left.
Broad Leys is the next building on the right. You will see a large green gate that is usually closed, and then the main entrance to the drive and car park where the lodge can be seen.
